Karen Russell teaching how to safely integrate and help students with common musculoskeletal injuries in group classes.
We will look at how we can help students with lower back, hip and knee pain, those who have undiagnosed general pain and stiffness, and those who have or are recovering from specific conditions and have been recommended by a doctor or a physiotherapist to try yoga. We will also look at the worrying increase in yoga related injuries and how we can prevent these occurring.

Karen Russell SYT
Karen teaches various physical disciplines and helping people to a fitter healthier lifestyle has been her passion for more than 25 years. After a long career as a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer, working in some of London’s leading training establishments, she qualified as a Fitness Instructor, and worked as a Personal Trainer, specialising in weight management, pre and post natal exercise and rehabilitation from injury. Karen has been teaching yoga for almost 13 years and has over 10,000 contact teaching hours under her belt.
Yoga is a huge influence in Karens daily life, and she feels lucky and privileged to have lovely students. Karen always aims to teach with compassion, physical empathy, humour and the absolute belief that she can help each individual in her class to a greater understanding of their own physique and its potential.
